Sikorsky S-92

The S-92 is a medium-lift twin-engine helicopter manufactured for the civil and military market by Sikorsky, today belonging to the company Lockheed Martin. The S-92 was developed from the Sikorsky S-70 helicopter and has similar parts such as flight control and rotor systems. The programme has two versions: S-92A (civil variant) and H-92 Superhawk (military variant).

The S-92® helicopter has become the industry’s standard for safety and reliability thanks to its more than 1.25 million fleet flight hours around the world, performing a wide variety of missions and operations: search and rescue, humanitarian support, offshore oil transport, Head of State and airline missions.

Its first flight was made at the end of 1998 and has more than 300 units delivered to 25 countries and 150 suppliers around the world. In addition, eleven nations have selected the S-92 helicopter for missions and transportation of Head of State.
