The Junta and Andalucía Aerospace together to strengthen the aerospace sector

The Councilor for University, Research and Innovation, of the Junta de Andalucía, José Carlos Gómez Villamandos, the president of our business cluster, Antonio Gómez-Guillamón and its director, Juan Román; They have held a working meeting to address the current situation in the sector and explore future collaboration actions in the area of ​​innovation that will result in improving the competitiveness of their companies, strengthening their position in national and international markets.

At the meeting, the potential of the aerospace industry in Andalusia was highlighted with the confidence that it could house the headquarters of the future Spanish Space Agency. In 2021, this sector remained above 2,000 million euros in turnover, something that necessarily involves reinforcing the promotion of its business fabric in international markets, diversifying its lines of business and products, and delving into technological innovation, satisfying the training needs.

The Andalusian Aerospace Strategy stems from the desire to provide this industry, the engine of economic growth and competitiveness, with a comprehensive planning instrument due to its strategic nature and its ability to promote conversion towards a new production model based on innovation and knowledge.
