Charleroi Airport in Belgium has awarded the revision of its Master Plan to AERTEC Solutions

AERTEC Solutions, an international engineering and consultancy firm specialised in aeronautics, will be in charge of reviewing the Master Plan for Brussels South Charleroi Airport, which considers the expansion of its facilities to adapt to the growing number of passengers it receives each year (it is currently capable of handling up to eight million passengers).

Among other actions, the new Master Plan will consider lengthening the runway, remodelling the taxiways and a considerable increase in the number of aircraft parking spaces by the year 2035.

This medium-sized low-cost airport is Ryanair’s main operational base in Belgium, and AERTEC Solutions already designed the expansion of its second terminal, which was opened in 2016.
