Andalucía Aerospace is part of the ECO-AERO consortium, led by the Advanced Center for Aerospace Technologies (CATEC), with the participation of AIRBUS, ASIME, FIDAMC, HEGAN, TEDAE, TEKNIKER and other subcontracted entities to promote innovation in the aerospace sector. The ECO-AERO project will foster collaboration between companies, clusters and technology centers, strengthening the national supply chain and ensuring the global competitiveness of the aerospace industry. Focusing on sustainability and digitalization, it seeks to promote green aviation with the development of both manned and unmanned systems and subsystems for NewSpace and innovative propulsion systems.
This important interregional aerospace innovation ecosystem is the only one in Spain that has received funding by the Center for Technological Development and Innovation (CDTI), within the first call “Innovation Ecosystems” based on the Cervera Networks of Excellence, which makes it a benchmark in the research and development of aerospace technologies in our country.
The main objective is to position Spain as a leader in the aerospace sector in Cervera technologies such as Additive Manufacturing, Advanced Materials, Applied AI or Robotics in intelligent manufacturing.
ECO-AERO has a planned duration of 22 months and a budget of 1,112,994 euros.
