AERIS

Description

Based on the analysis of the needs of the sector, both cross-border territories, Andalusia and Alentejo, are cooperating to develop a series of instruments, actions and partnerships in the implementation of their Regional Innovation and Industrial Strategies, in collaboration with the most relevant European actors in the aerospace sector.

The AERIS project aims to improve the position of companies in the aeronautical sector in the Andalusia – Alentejo cross-border area through innovation and technology transfer:

• Identify existing resources and analyse shortcomings.
• Promote the transfer of knowledge, resources, training and cooperation.
• Encourage public-private partnerships and investments in the sector.
• The main actions in the framework of the AERIS project are:
• Identification of R&D needs in the aeronautical sector.
• Improvement and efficient use of infrastructures and support services for R&D and innovation.
• Implementation of knowledge transfer actions in the cross-border area.
• Implementation of measures to promote business innovation.
