MOSES

Description

MOSES (Modular Scalable Optical Equipment for Space Cameras) is a project within the Innovative Business Groups (AEI) support program, funded by the Spanish Ministry of Industry and Tourism, which seeks to develop modular optical equipment with Star Tracker and SSA functions. This technology will facilitate the orientation of satellites to carry out emergency or automatic maneuvers in the event of a risk of collision with space debris, a growing problem that endangers telecommunications on Earth and the monitoring of natural disasters.

The project is structured in four phases in which case studies and the state of current technology will be reviewed, a first prototype will be built and a test plan will be drawn up, the technology will be validated, and the final product will be commercialized. In this first phase, which will be developed over 11 months, the aim is to achieve a TRL4 for the proposed solution.

Project supported by the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Tourism.

Consortium

MOSES will be carried out by a consortium of companies and entities formed by Secpho (project coordinator), Lidax Ingeniería, Greenlight Solutions, Solar MEMS, and Andalucía Aerospace. Together with Secpho, our cluster will be in charge of promoting and disseminating the results of the project in order to position the consortium as a benchmark and bring the product closer to the entire value chain.
