Embraer ERJ145 & E170 / E175 / E190

The Spanish and Andalusian aerospace industries are involved in the programmes of the Brazilian manufacturer Embraer, including the ERJ145 and E170, located in the regional aircraft segment.

The ERJ 145 is a series of twin-engine regional jets. Aircraft in the series include the ERJ 135, ERJ 140, ERJ 145 and Legacy models, being the ERJ 145 the largest version. Propelled by turbofan engines, they make up one of the most popular series of regional aviation, entering direct competition with other manufacturers such as Bombardier. The program has 20 years of operation, and more than 26 million flight hours, and has been put into service by 36 airlines in 26 countries, in addition to other military users.

The E170 / 190 aircraft constitute the new family of E-Jets, the narrow-body commercial aircraft manufactured by Embraer, created as the company’s new line of regional aircraft expansion. They are the largest aircraft manufactured by the Brazilian constructor and the versions share much of its components and elements (fuselage with the same cross section and most systems in all aircraft, and wings and engines in the E170-175 and E190-195 versions).

The family counts on 66-78 passengers in its smallest version up to 100-124 passengers in its largest one, with a range of 2,150-2,300 nautical miles.
