The Andaluc\u00eda Aerospace Management Board met some weeks ago the President of the Junta de Andaluc\u00eda, Juanma Moreno. During the meeting, the president of the Andalusian aerospace and defence cluster, Antonio G\u00f3mez-Guillam\u00f3n, highlighted the role of Andaluc\u00eda Aerospace as a key player and a dynamic agent of the one hundred companies that are already part of the association, with special emphasis on promoting the \u2018Andaluc\u00eda Aerospace\u2019 brand worldwide, boosting the internationalisation of the sector, promoting R&D through shared projects, generating synergies and networking between companies to increase their business, identifying training needs to stimulate employment in the sector, and thus contributing to attracting investment to the Andalusian community.<\/p>\n

Andaluc\u00eda Aerospace cluster has conveyed to the president of the Andalusian government the importance of accelerating the pace of investment in the sector by implementing the action measures contemplated in the Andalusian Aerospace Strategy 2020-2027. \u2018With the aerospace market growing in all its segments, the investment will have a multiplier effect that we will see reflected in the growth of companies, greater technological differentiation and more international footprint,\u2019 said G\u00f3mez-Guillam\u00f3n, who also highlighted the permanent collaborative relationship that Andaluc\u00eda Aerospace has maintained with different Andalusian government bodies since its creation six years ago to support the aerospace sector, which already represents 12.84% of Andalusia’s industrial GDP.<\/p>\n

Juanma Moreno stressed that \u2018an optimistic future for the aerospace sector is emerging thanks to the work of the companies and the Andaluc\u00eda Aerospace cluster, with which we have held the first of many meetings in which we will share goals and challenges\u2019, stressing the importance of an industry that is strategic for Andalusia in economic terms and in terms of job creation.<\/p>\n

The Andaluc\u00eda Aerospace Management Board has presented the main technological capabilities, expertise and qualifications of the hundred companies that make up the association, some of them already driving forces in technology applied to booming sectors such as space, drones or sustainable aviation.<\/p>\n

Antonio G\u00f3mez-Guillam\u00f3n stated that \u2018our auxiliary industry is evolving beyond being a supplier for manufacturers in the aerospace sector; many companies are making their way as creators of their own technology and are ahead of market demands in segments where being pioneers in innovation is key to acquiring competitive advantages, and many of our associated firms are taking advantage of this in areas where Andalusia is beginning to have a prominent presence, such as Space or Advanced Air Mobility\u2019.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
